There are many elements that can make a slideshow presentation difficult to watch – tiny fonts, distracting transitions, and text overload are just a few of them. No matter how important the information being presented is, a disorganized and unengaging presentation can hinder the delivery of your message.

That’s why it’s important to utilize online presentation tools that make your presentations not only understandable and entertaining, but set you apart from other financial advisors.

Fortunately, you don’t need endless time or a graphic design degree to create professional, easy-to-watch slideshows for your colleagues and clients. There are many presentation websites created specifically to assist you in creating slideshows.

We’ll go over three online presentation tools so you can get started creating well-branded presentations or pitch decks that go a step above the typical PowerPoint or Google Slide presentation. Then, we’ll discuss some essentials to consider when creating your presentations to ensure your audience stays engaged.

Online presentation tools can help you create polished client presentations

3 Easy to Use Online Presentation Tools

Best Transitions: Prezi

Prezi specializes in unique transitions and animations to create a smooth and professional presentation that feels more like watching a video than clicking through a slideshow. This is a good option for seamlessly exploring a variety of different topics within a single presentation. If you need any support, Prezi also offers quick video tutorials which provide you everything you need to get started.

To get started with Prezi, you will have to create an account. Although there is a free trial, you do have to upload a payment method to make a private presentation. If you are looking for a completely free option, the next online presentation platform may work for you.

Most Customizable: Canva

Canva’s free account provides access to a large number of free presentation templates. You can choose a template by theme, but also have the freedom to customize the colors, fonts, and images within each theme. Canva’s selection of graphics, illustrations, and stock images is expansive, especially considering that the platform is free. You can usually find exactly what you need to make your presentation complete.

This is a great platform for those who still want to take extensive creative liberties when creating their slideshow. When your presentation is done, you will have an option to download it as a PDF, JPG, or PNG.

Simplest to Use: Piktochart

Like Prezi and Canva, Piktochart offers unique presentation templates that make creating a slideshow as simple as possible. There are a variety of different designs to choose from, making it easy to find options that correlate with the brand image you want to portray. Once you choose your template, you just have to plug in your information and go. Some templates will even show you exactly where to put your brand logo.

One of the cons is that you can only download your file as a PNG on the free version of Piktochart, but with a membership you can download as a PDF or PowerPoint.

Tips for Making Client Presentations that Impress

  • Use a large, dark font for easy reading
  • Insert images and graphics, not just text
  • Keep all fonts and images consistent with your brand
  • Include your logos on every slide for brand recognition
  • Utilize white space by only addressing one idea per slide

Polished presentations will have your clients, colleagues, and prospects leaving every meeting feeling confident with your advisory practice. Whether you want to increase your use of smooth transitions and animations, have access to a variety of design options, or a simple alternative to PowerPoint, there are online presentation tools that are there to support you along the way.
